Here at White Rock Orthodontic Center, we care about kids in our community, whether it’s helping them to achieve a straight, healthy smile, or supporting them in their educational goals.
This is why we’re so proud to have created the ROCK Awards, which recognizes the exceptional achievements of young people in our community. The first category we’re launching is STEM, which awards $500 annually to one male and one female student who excel in science from selected high schools across Surrey and White Rock. This scholarship supports their aspirations of pursuing post-secondary studies.
Since 2004, we’ve given over $42,000 to scholarship winners from Elgin Park Secondary, Earl Marriott Secondary, Semiahmoo Secondary, and for the first time this coming year, Grandview Heights Secondary School. Winners are selected by teachers at each school, with Dr. Jay Nagamatsu joining the selection committee this year. We want to wish everyone a great end to the school year and we look forward to announcing our scholarship winners soon!
